Lorne Baring (41) is Managing Director of B Capital SA*, a Swiss asset management firm focusing on ultra-high net worth clients and their families. Lorne was educated in the UK at Eton College and The Royal Military Academy Sandhurst and in 1990 was commissioned as an officer in the British Army. Leaving as a Company Commander he started with Barclays Private Bank Ltd (London) in 1998 covering the Iberia and Latin America markets.
In 2001 he assumed control of the private bank’s Europe and Americas teams and in 2003 moved to the Swiss banking division of Barclays to head the Europe (Offshore) business. From 2005-2008 Lorne was Barclays highest revenue earning private banker through a combination of private bank and investment banking transactions. He holds the FSA Securities, Futures & Options and also Investment Management certificates. In the Spears Wealth Management Awards 2007 Lorne was nominated as ‘Private Banker of the Future’. He is fluent in Portuguese, Spanish and French.
Lorne works in both the Geneva and London offices of B Capital Wealth Management group.
José Rebelo (40) spent 18 years in banking with Barclays Group and joined Lorne Baring in the private banking division in 1999. José is also multilingual and has responsibility for client relations and banking operations and foreign exchange. He is a founding member of B Capital Wealth Management and is a partner with B Capital Partners LLP in our London offices.
Gabriel Cutile (35) has worked in the Swiss banking market for ten years and latterly worked with Lorne Baring at Barclays Bank (Suisse) SA as a client executive responsible for trading and account administration. A founding member of B Capital Wealth Management, at B Capital SA in Geneva Gabriel is principal trader for advisory and discretionary funds and covers all asset classes in the B Capital Wealth Management universe.
Ivan Bajic (34) joined B Capital Wealth Management in 2009 from the hedge fund unit of Glencore UK where he was the portfolio manager of the Special Situations Strategy. Ivan worked previously as a vice president with ING EMEA Corporate Finance and also Belgrade office head for Raiffeisen Investment AG. Ivan is in charge of special situations strategies and high yield fixed income research, based in London with B Capital Partners LLP.
Tania Casalino joined B Capital Wealth Management in 2010 as executive assistant in the B Capital SA office in Geneva. Tania assists with relationship administration and co-ordination of all client communication.
